Why must you be careful when you are focusing the high-power objective lens what precautions should you take? When you are focusing the high power objective lens you might damage the lens if you adjust it too closely and/or …
Because you are at the highest magnification only turn the fine adjustment knob when you are using the high-powered objective lens and not the coarse adjustment. Otherwise y … ou risk getting your sample out of focus and you will probably only be able to refocusby starting with the lowest power objective lens.
Why must you be careful when you are focusing with the high-powered lens? Start with the lowest objective (coarse adjustment) then adjust your focus to a better resolution with the fine adjustment. Describe the proper procedure for focusing the microscope using the coarse and fine adjustment.
If you hold it in the middle you will crush the specimen or get fingerprints on sample. Why a specimen to be viewed under the microscope must be thin? It has to be thin enough to allow the light to pass through.

It is --simply put--because the angle of view with the higher powered lenses is so narrow that the slightest movement of the lens has major effects with the actual image coming thru the lens to the viewer (and therefore the film plane ...
On a microscope you have to make sure to use the fine focus instead of the coarse focus. If you are not careful and you do use the coarse focus it will move the barrel down and the lens may crush your slide/slide cover. Which is very very bad.
When you change from low power to high power on a microscope the high-power objective lens moves directly over the specimen and the low-power objective lens rotates away from the specimen. This change alters the magnification of a specimen the light intensity area of the field of view depth of field working distance and resolution.
objective lens is not in place there will be no light visible through the nosepiece. h. The objective lenses called the low- and high-power lenses add to the magnification of the object you are viewing. The low-power objective lens usually has a magnification power of 10x. The high-power objective lens usually has a magnification power of 40X.
if you have a microscope that does not have an internal light source you will have to use the external light source that is provided in the cabinet with the microscope. in this case place the external light source in front of the microscope plug it in turn on the light and adjust the light such that it shines on the microscope mirror.
