What was Pepsi-Cola's original name?
- Brad's Drink:Pharmacist Caleb Bradham began tinkering with recipes for a carbonated drink in the early 1800s. By 1893, he was ready to roll out his carbonated drink, serving it up from the soda fountain in his pharmacy. He originally called his drink "Brad's Drink." He changed the name to Pepsi-Cola in the early 1900s after purchasing the trade name "Pep Cola" in 1902. He then incorporated his Pepsi-Cola Company under North Carolina law. A short time later, he registered a patent on the formula for his Pepsi-Cola drink. Source: NCDCR.gov
