Good King Wenceslas was king of what country?
- Bohemia:Wenceslas IV was King of Bohemia in the late 14th century. His reign is best described as "weak and tempestuous" and plagued by wars and rivalries almost continuously. He was unable to control these events, forcing his territories into a virtual state of anarchy until his rebellious nobles stripped him of all his authority. He was the son of Charles IV, the Holy Roman emperor. Wenceslas became King of Bohemia in 1363, and later was named King of the Romans in 1376. Though a peace-loving man, he was unable to put a stop to ongoing wars between differing town leagues and the princes ruling over them. These conflicts plunged Germany into a constant state of anarchy for almost a decade. Source: Britannica.com
