- Fear of disorder:A person struggling with ataxophobia has an excessive and irrational fear of disorder. An ataxophobic person fears disordered or dislodged elements or environmental conditions. When this phobia is triggered, the person experiences feelings of intense anxiety, bordering on panic. Exposure to a situation involving disorder can bring on an attack.
