What is glossophobia?
- Fear of public speaking:A person suffering from glossophobia has a fear of public speaking. This phobia is often commonly known as stage fright. Most everyone experiences a degree of anxiety when appearing on a stage to speak or perform before an audience, but the anxiety is something they can overcome without too much difficulty. A person with glossophobia will simply freeze when they come before an audience. They may be completely unable to speak or move. It isn't uncommon for the person to experience an extremely dry mouth, sweating, shaking, or even heart palpitations.
