[Answer] On what religious holiday was Abraham Lincoln assassinated?

We have looked all around the web to find the most relevant answer to your query:

On what religious holiday was Abraham Lincoln assassinated?

  • Good Friday:An advocate for women's rights, the creator of the civil rights movement, a cat lover, a fan of funky hats and beards, the day we lost Abraham Lincoln was the day we lost the world's original hipster. On April 14th, 1864, Abraham Lincoln, General Grant and Vice President Andrew Johnson had planned to attend Ford's Theater to see "Our American Cousin". It was on that day that the Confederate Actor John Wilkes Booth had decided that both Grant and Lincoln needed to go. At the last minute Grant skipped out on the play and during intermission Lincoln's bodyguard decided to go the next-door bar for a drink. It was then, exposed and alone, that Booth pointed his gun at Lincoln and shot him right in the back of the head. What a guy, eh? It took 12 days to catch the hated felon and he was killed on the spot. Unfortunately, that particular Friday, wasn't actually all that good.
