[Answer] What is the only state whose capital city begins with the letter "F"?

We have looked all around the web to find the most relevant answer to your query:

What is the only state whose capital city begins with the letter "F"?

  • Kentucky:Frankfort is the capital of Kentucky and the only state capital whose name begins with the letter "F". Frankfort was founded in 1786 on the Kentucky River by General James Wilkinson. According to the city’s website, Frankfort is named in part after a ford (trail crossing) on the Kentucky River that existed in the late 18th century. When Native Americans attacked a group of colonists in 1780, pioneer Stephen Frank was killed at the Kentucky River, and the settlers thereafter called the crossing "Frank's Ford." The name was later shortened to Frankfort.
