Objections answered.  Acts  shows influence of Josephus within its text which means it was  written  in the  90's  since that is when Josephus  wrote . But  it could be that Josephus  who published his work Antiquities in  A.D. 93  used Luke as a reference. It is possible that both Josephus and  Luke used a common source.

Why  Acts  was  likely written  in the  60s . Failure to note the death of either James (AD 62) or Paul (ca. late 60s). Acts   however  can be shown to have been  written  about  30 years  after the life  death  and resurrection of Jesus. We have established that  Luke was  written  prior to  Acts   and can put this gospel even closer to the actual events.   
Since  Acts  of the Apostles was  most likely written  sometime during the two years after Paul arrived for his appeal to the  emperor (see below)  the Gospel of Luke was also  written  about that same time.      
Second  compelling arguments can be made that the author of  Acts  was acquainted with some materials  written  by Josephus  who completed his Antiquities of the Jews in  93-94 CE . If the author of  Acts  knew of some pieces from this document  he could not have  written  his book before that date.  
When Was the Book of  Acts Written ? The dating of the book of  Acts  is ultimately tied to the dating of the Gospel of Luke. It is presumed  that Luke was  written  prior to  Acts . We can at least say that  Acts  would have to be  written  after AD 62 when Paul was imprisoned in Rome for two years.
Not in the First Century.  Acts  and Christian Beginnings argues for a more rigorous approach to the  evidence. The  Acts  Seminar concluded that  Acts  was  written  around  115 CE  and used literary models like Homer for inspiration  even exact words and  phrases from popular stories.
